I spent a significant amount of time this summer knitting a top for myself on size 2 needles using linen yarn. I was hesitant to try linen. It's just so, so....crunchy. But I knit a swash, washed it and threw it in the dryer a few times and the reward was a piece of fabric that I loved so much that I carried it with me in my knitting bag to remind me of what was ahead of me when I finished.
Pattern: "Lace Saddle Tee" from Interweave Knits Summer 2010
Yarn: Louet Euroflax Sport Weight in the Willow colorway
Notes: Size 2 needles! That is dedication. (or possibly insanity)
The entire garment is stockinette stitch, with the exception of this lacy saddle on the shoulders:
I loved the end result of knitting with the linen, I'll be looking for more excuses to use it again next summer!

Very nice! I like linen too, although some linen is better to knit with than other linen... a whole garment on size 2s, though! Good on you!
I love this sweater so much that I want to be a big copycat and do one just like it. Maybe next summer. I think I have to save up for the Euroflax first -- that stuff is not cheap!
Wow, that sweater looks PERFECT on you. Nicely done!
