Could somebody please tell me what planet retailers are coming from? What planet does one have to inhabit to think that putting Christmas decorations out in September is a good idea? What makes stores think that I want to buy my Christmas lights and pumpkins all at the same time? If we go back to buy grass seed next week and there is Easter stuff out, somebody is getting a swift kick in the butt.

I'm a humbug anyway, but this drives me batty. Last year on Christmas Eve I stopped at CVS and they had Valentine's Day stuff out! They gotta get the dollars.
Unfortunately, if people wouldn' be buying the crap they wouldn't be putting it out.
Pisses me off every year, too. What's worse is - I host Thanksgiving so if I forget anything for the table I can't FIND it because the stores have put out everything for Christmas. Bastards.
In my part of the world, swimming pools are still open through October. But that doesn't stop the dumbasses from taking the swimsuits and shorts away in July and replacing them with winter coats and long underwear.
ooohhh! I hear ya! I saw Christmas stuff out in August here. (gr)
It's because of all those damn overprepared people...you know the ones I'm talking about. The ones who finish up their Christmas shopping in August! They ruin the curve for everyone!!! Overachievers!
