He hates it because it's good for him

Rufus would like someone to alert the Humane Society, because clearly, we don't love him. Why is that? Because of this:



Yes! Twice a day, I get to try to wrangle 8 drops of ointment into his right ear. If you look closely, you can see that his right ear is sort of oily-looking. It's lovely.

Afterwards, though, there are ear rubs and some bribery in the form of treats.



That doesn't stop him from trying to hide when he sees me pick up the tube. We have another 6 days to go and I am wondering how long it is before I start spouting gems of wisdom such as "This is for your own good!" and "This is hurting me more than it's hurting you!"

we had to do that for our dog, flint, for a while too. it got to the point that whenever anyone would lift the lid on the jar that held the cotton balls in the bathroom flint would take off running downstairs to hide!

Don't you just love the look on his face???
Poochie has a problem and WE have to wash her "girl parts" -- that goes over big time.....
